Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will soon launch its first Pentahotel in Hong Kong.
Opening on 5 August 2013, the 32-storey Pentahotel Hong Kong Kowloon will be located in the Kai Tak area of East Kowloon, close to the Diamond Hill MTR station and the new Kai Tak Cruise Terminal.
Designed for younger travellers, the hotel will offer 695 guestrooms designed in a “New York loft style”, plus a range of technological features including free Wi-Fi, in-room smartphone docks, smartphone charging areas and digital check-in and check-out. Facilities include a combined lobby, bar and café area with 230 seats, plus vending machines, a ‘pizzabar’ and two games rooms with music stations and games consoles, plus an outdoor pool and gym.
This sense of youthful energy will also translate to the hotel’s meeting facilities, which include table-football and popcorn machines in the break-out rooms.
“We’re thrilled to be the first Pentahotel in this extraordinary city – the Pentahotels brand home town. Combined with the new Kai Tak Cruise Terminal next door, we feel we’re at the forefront of an exciting new Hong Kong destination,” said the hotel’s GM, Andy So.
“We want to be a showcase of the best of Hong Kong’s fun and energetic spirit. After all, that’s what Pentahotels is all about – neighbourhood lifestyle,” he added.
Pentahotel Hong Kong Kowloon will become the brand’s third hotel in China when it opens, joining existing properties in Beijing and Shanghai.
