FITUR4all, a dedicated section of the FITUR tourism fair, is set to highlight Spain's leadership in accessible tourism during its 2026 edition on 23 January. This follows a pivotal year for the sector, marked by the release of the Accessible Tourism Trends Report by TUR4all Travel in September 2025, which identified accessible tourism as a rapidly growing segment globally.
With over 1.3 billion people with disabilities worldwide and an ageing population, accessible tourism is increasingly recognised as both an economic opportunity and a social responsibility. FITUR4all, organised in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD, aims to foster a more inclusive and sustainable tourism model. The event will feature strategic roundtables and the FITUR4all 2026 Awards, celebrating leaders in accessibility and inclusion.
The programme will convene public administrations, tourism destinations, companies, and international organisations to discuss Spain's role as an accessible destination, the creation of inclusive tourism experiences, and the transformative impact of private enterprise. "FITUR4all demonstrates that accessibility is no longer a secondary element of tourism, but a key factor in quality, competitiveness, and innovation," said Miguel Carrasco, Director of Accessibility, Culture, and Inclusive Tourism at IMPULSA IGUALDAD.
The forum will also include high-level panel discussions, micro-presentations, and networking opportunities, reinforcing its status as an international benchmark in accessible tourism. As the deadline for the FITUR4all Awards approaches, the event promises to be a crucial platform for advancing accessibility in the tourism sector.
