Airlines have been warned that passengers could face flight disruption on Thursday when the public sector strikes take place in the UK. According to a report by the Guardian, the UK Border Agency has gone as far to say that passengers should avoid airports altogether as there could be severe delays at passport control. It is thought that up to 500,000 passengers could be hit by the industrial action, as at least seven in 10 staff are part of the union behind the strikes. Immigration at ports could also be affected, as the union also has strong membership in Devon. The industrial action begins tonight at 6pm and will end at midnight on Thursday.
