Flybe has announced a codeshare agreement with Finnair.
The partnership focuses on Flybe’s Manchester base where passengers can now connect onto Finnair flights from Helsinki to various long-haul destinations including 15 in Asia.
Passengers can also connect through Helsinki from Flybe’s 10 other UK departure points while Finnair will extend its UK network through Flybe’s services from the likes of the Isle of Man, Exeter, Newquay and Southampton.
Paul Simmons, Flybe chief commercial officer said: “The agreement with Finnair is an exciting development for Flybe. The codeshare is a win-win for both airlines. For Flybe it furthers out ambition of being a ‘One Stop to the World’ from UK regions and enables us to outreach to a new and different market, whilst at the same time further facilitating the needs of our leisure and business passengers.”
Finnair’s director, commercial partnerships Hannu Sundberg added: “We are pleased to be able to offer an expanded network of services throughout the UK with our partner Flybe. Greater connectivity with these regional centres in the UK enhances the ability of our customers to travel to and conduct business all over the British Isles, while also opening up Finland and Finnair’s extensive Asian network to more UK travellers.”
