Food4Media launches in Asia

Food4Media, affiliate of online resource centre TravMedia, an international newswire service specifically designed for food and lifestyle journalists and PR managers, has launched its Asia Pacific branch in Hong Kong.
September marks the official launch of Food4Media in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, with the other countries in Asia to follow shortly after.
Following the success of its sister company TravMedia, Food4Media was established in 2003 as an electronic food news service for journalists. Food4Media distributes media releases in an attractive and user friendly, html format to over 5,000 food, lifestyle and food trade media globally. It has six offices around the world.
Food4Media is a one-stop research resource for media, allowing journalists access to food company information, press releases, video, public relations contacts and high-resolution imagery from anywhere in the world. The service can be tailored to send journalists hourly, daily or weekly email alerts. The service is free to journalists.
The companies posting news on Food4Media represent a broad cross-section of the industry, including: restaurants, bars, beverages, organic producers, wholesalers, alcoholic brands, and events. The site distributes news announcements for over 5,546 food companies worldwide and hosts over 30,000 high-resolution photographs.
Food4Media also hosts and streams Traditional and Simplified Chinese press releases as PDF or Word attachments which are highlighted on the email alert.

Rachel Pollard has been appointed Regional Account Manager for Food4Media Asia. Rachel started her career as a radio broadcaster at GCAP radio in the United Kingdom before moving into PR and Marketing. She worked at a number of PR agencies in England and Hong Kong, specialising in the hospitality, lifestyle, travel and tourism industries. Rachel complemented this with an MA degree in PR and Advertising from University of California State Fullerton.
