Forbes Travel Guide has announced it will launch its first ever hotel and spa ratings for Singapore in April 2011. Forbes Travel Guide’s ratings are based on evaluations of more than 500 attributes at each rated property with the aim of providing a global and unified rating system for consumers around the world.
Singapore is the fourth country to receive Forbes Travel Guide’s ratings, and the fourth city in Asia after Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau.
Shane O’Flaherty, President & CEO of Forbes Travel Guide, said; “We are delighted to announce our entry into Singapore. For more than fifty years, the Forbes Travel Guide ratings have been a trusted resource for millions of consumers looking to make more informed travel decisions. We are happy to help travelers to Singapore discover the outstanding experiences that define the best of the best hotels and spas in the area.”
Forbes Travel Guide begins the hotel rating process with a facility inspection that considers every aspect of the property, including its overall cleanliness, condition and location. To achieve five- and four-star status, properties must meet or exceed Forbes Travel Guide’s service standards, which are determined through an unannounced service evaluation conducted by Forbes Travel Guide’s professional inspectors.
The ratings reflect the best-of-the-best in hospitality excellence and have long been considered one of the highest achievements in the travel industry.
Each year, Forbes Travel Guide releases its proprietary list of five- and four-star hotels, restaurants and spas. The complete list of Forbes Travel Guide Star Award winners will be available at www.forbestravelguide.com in April, and in the May issue of Forbes Asia.
