Fred. Olsen has announced that Boudicca will enter dry-dock in January for a refurbishment programme. Under the revamp, the Fitness Centre and decks will be relocated, creating space for 17 new cabins. “In addition we will also be making a significant investment in four new, enclosed Fassmer lifeboats and two rescue boats from Davit International, which will represent an important upgrade in this area,” said Mike Rodwell, managing director at Fred. Olsen. Boudicca will resume service on 16h January 2011. Meanwhile, the cruise line has launched an Archers-themed voyage as part of its ArtsClub activities. Cast members from the radio show will be onboard to talk to guests and perform a ‘mock’ recording. The cruises will depart on 23 April and 12 September 2011 to visit the Mediterranean.
