Cambodia’s Prime Minister, Hun Sen, has renewed calls for the founding of a new national airline, the Phnom Penh Post has reported. The previous incarnation, Royal Air Cambodge, went bankrupt back in 2001, but Hun cited lower fuel costs as a key difference that would allow a new airline to earn a profit.
“We have to give birth to a national airline that makes a profit,” the Prime Minister was reported saying.
