(Singapore, 3rd December 2009) - GHM, a market leader in stylish luxury hotel development and management, has announced the termination of its management contract with The Andaman, Langkawi effective as of the 9th December 2009.
GHM has been operating the resort since it opened in 2002 and in this time it has won many awards for its restaurants and service. A golfers’ paradise, the resort located on the Malaysian island of Langkawi, just off the west coast of the peninsula, has also proved popular due to views of the rainforest, the mountains and the Andaman Sea.
GHM also currently operates The Datai in Langkawi which was GHM’s first property opening in October 1993. Setting a new standard of luxury and Asian-inspired design when it opened, The Datai quickly became one of the worlds most sought-after and award-winning hideaway resorts.
Located on the north western tip of the lush tropical island of Langkawi The Datai is truly an oasis of relaxation and tranquillity surrounded by centuries-old virgin rainforest with a private footpath leading to an idyllic white sand beach, swimming pool and spa, and nearby golf course.
Each GHM property offers a unique experience to discerning travellers by providing guests with lavish accommodation surrounded by distinctive designs of Asian inspiration. Complementing the environment and culture of its location, GHM properties create a luxurious home away from home.
The current award winning GHM portfolio includes world renowned resorts such as The Setai in Miami, The Nam Hai in Vietnam, The Legian in Bali, The Strand in Yangon, as well as The Chedi hotels in Muscat, Bali and Chiang Mai.
