As more than 2,000 climate scientists gather in Copenhagen to discuss the state of the planet, data has emerged showing that global warming may be speeding up. The BBC reported that the scientists are concerned that the 2007 reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) are already out of date.
Their data suggests greater rises in sea levels this century. The most recent data, to be presented at the event in the Danish capital, will suggest sea levels rising much more than the 59cm predicted by the IPCC.
