go India Journeys, who have partnered with Across Borders in the UAE is looking at increasing its share of the UAE market with its gamut of products. The company offers its customers specialization to tailor-made itineraries across India. The list expands from unique experiences, fair and festivals to historical journeys and sports holidays.
Amit Prasad, chief operating officer at go India Journeys explains to Travel Daily Middle East the plans for the region. “We were always looking for a representation in this region. The option of taking on a representative was to have better interactions with the industry directly and easy accessibility of our products. The ability to speak to a local partner also increases the comfort factor. The region started slow but we are seeing growth which is picking up well this year. We look forward to a stronger partnership with Across Borders across the UAE market,” added Prasad.
The partnership presents to the region a portfolio of India products such as the regular Golden Triangle and Rajasthan. With a keen focus on UAE, the company is also looking at potential markets such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar along with Oman and Bahrain.
“We are also keen to promote Kerala which is coming up as a new market. Kashmir would be a new extension. In addition, we are looking at the delegation business, stopovers and offering connectivity through our XML to some of the companies that only sell hotel accommodation. There is a whole gamut of products we want to promote in this region,” explains Prasad.
With a strong product portfolio in place, go India Journeys is looking at bringing in the differentiation factor. There are some special features added such as home visits and community work which make the programmes more interactive. “We are also looking to tap into the education segment, as many schools are looking at doing India trips. We can offer them a range of products,” concludes Prasad.
