Casinos in the Indian resort state of Goa shut their doors to gamblers yesterday, in protest to a state government-imposed hike in entry fees. ChannelNewsAsia reported that six offshore and 11 land-based casinos were closed, which comes after door charges were raised from INR200 (US$4.10) to INR2,000.
