Guggenheim and Louvre to open in Abu Dhabi

Plans have been announced for the construction of two of the world’s most famous museums in Abu Dhabi. As part of a US$128 billion construction project in the United Arab Emirates wealthiest state, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Louvre Abu Dhabi are due to open on Saadiyat Island, just 700 metres off the coast, in 2013. In another development, Yas Island is destined to host the world’s largest indoor theme park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, as well as the Yas Marina Circuit, which will host the Abu Grand Prix in October
