Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain 14 April 2009: National carrier Gulf Air has rolled out another new service - a dedicated B2B (Business to Business) internet booking tool – for its corporate customers and travel agents as part of the airline’s growing number of solutions offered to its corporate and trade partners.
The new service offers Gulf Air’s corporate customers, i.e., small to medium sized enterprises as well as travel agents, the facility to book directly with Gulf Air, from the comfort of their own offices.
With the new internet booking tool, corporate customers can check availability of flights in real-time, select the flight they want and book seats instantly. They can also pick and choose a seat of their choice from the seat map available online.
“We have been working hard on several fronts on our e-commerce platform to improve every single element in our customer value chain – right from booking tickets to completing travel,” says Mr. Lars Denlew, Gulf Air Director, Sales and Distribution.
“While we have introduced several enhancements to our internet booking service in recent times aimed at our individual customers, this new internet booking tool is designed for our growing number of small to medium sized enterprises as well as travel agents making it easier for them to book and fly with Gulf Air.”
“With our hugely popular Lowest Fares Guaranteed promise, I am sure this enhanced service will be a great value addition making our customers’ booking experience an even more enjoyable experience,” concludes Mr. Denlew
The B2B tool is built on the same secure platform and very easy-to-use interface at gulfair.com. It can offer dedicated fares, real time seat availability, provide multiple forms of payment and instant ticketing, besides, internal functions such as account management and booking retrieval - all of which can be done from the comfort of their office.

Founded in 1950, Gulf Air is the proud national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain. As a pioneering airline in the Middle East region with sixty years of experience and expertise in flying people across continents, Gulf Air is today one of the most powerful brands and a name to reckon with in the global aviation industry.
One of the prime objectives of Gulf Air is to connect Bahrain to the Middle East countries and the rest of the world. As such the airline currently operates the largest network in the Middle East with non-stop flights while providing seamless onward connections to other international destinations. The airline’s current network stretches from Europe to Asia, connecting 43 cities in 28 countries, with a fleet of 35 aircraft.
In tune with the Kingdom’s economic blue print, ‘Vision 2030’, Gulf Air’s strategy is to build an efficient, commercially sustainable and dynamic airline that effectively serves the people and the economy of Bahrain and represents the Kingdom on the world stage. Reflecting the needs and aspirations of its customers, the strategy focuses on three core areas; a targeted, more focused international network, a superior, more consistent product and a modern, more efficient fleet that will optimize value.
However, Gulf Air’s goal remains unchanged; its commitment to the latest aviation technology complemented by its hallmark Arabian hospitality for which the airline is well known.
Gulf Air is the Official Airline and Sponsor of the ‘2010 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix’ and the London-based football club ‘Queens Park Rangers’.
