Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has announced the resumption of its seasonal flights to Geneva and Nice for the summer of 2026. These routes, which include a stop in Milan, will be available for booking and are set to provide travellers with convenient access to popular European destinations. The flights to Nice will operate from 24 May to 27 September, whilst the Geneva services will run from 5 June to 11 September, both operating twice weekly using Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The reintroduction of these routes is part of Gulf Air's broader summer schedule, aimed at offering more travel options and connectivity through Bahrain International Airport. This move is expected to cater to the high demand for European travel during the summer months, providing passengers with reliable schedules and consistent service standards. Martin Gauss, Gulf Air's CEO, stated, "Europe continues to be a preferred summer travel destination for passengers from Bahrain and the wider region."
Gulf Air, established in 1950 and recognised as a "Five-Star Major Airline" by APEX for 2026, operates to over 50 destinations worldwide. The airline's fleet includes Boeing 787 and Airbus A320/A321 aircraft. Bookings for the resumed routes are now open via Gulf Air's website, mobile app, contact centre, and travel agents. This strategic decision aligns with the airline's commitment to meeting seasonal demand and customer preferences.
