Hainan Airlines has announced it expects first half 2008 profits to rise more than 50%, the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation has reported. Hainan recorded H1 2007 gains of CNY189.7 million (US$27.7 million), but expects significant rises this year, mainly due to the yuan’s appreciation against the US dollar.
