Vietnam Railways Corp is in talks with a Japanese company concerning the construction of a high-speed rail line linking Hanoi with Noi Bai International Airport. According to a Thanh Nien News report, the 47 km double-track line would cost around US$200 million. No launch or completion dates have been set, but the report did suggest that the track would link three stations on the way to the airport, and could run partially underground.
