Hawaii is gearing up for the APEC Summit to be held in the islands this November. More than 20,000 attendees from 21 member economies, including over 2,000 global media representatives, are expected for this annual gathering of APEC leaders.
In advance of the summit, the APEC 2011 Hawaii Host Committee has sponsored several international media visits to the islands to generate advance exposure of Hawaii’s products and services. Travel Daily’s Gary Marshall was in Hawaii recently and had the opportunity to visit the Outrigger Reef on the Beach to join the welcome reception for a media group from Guangzhou.
