Hawaiian profits decline in Q1

Hawaiian Holdings Inc, the parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, has reported net income for the first quarter of 2010 of US$200,000 on total operating revenue of US$298.4 million. This result marks a decline from the US$23.5 million net income it achieved in the same quarter last year, but a rise in revenue, which stood at US$288.6 million in Q1 2009. Capacity for the quarter, measure is available seat miles (ASM) decreased 4.0% year-on- year, while revenue per ASM climbed 7.7%. First quarter load factor increased 1.7 points to 83.6%.
