HCMC arrivals up 10% in January

The number of international arrivals to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in January 2011 is expected to reach 310,000 – 10% higher than the same period last year. The HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism was reported saying that air arrivals are estimated to hit 240,000 – 12% more than 2010 – including 150,000 overseas Vietnamese. The number of visitors arriving in HCMC overland is forecast to rise 6% to 70,000.
