Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is targeting three million foreign visitors this year - 7% increase from 2008, according to a VietnamNet Bridge report. City tourism authorities will concentrate marketing efforts in five key markets – Japan, Australia, Western Europe, ASEAN, and South Korea.
The year has not started well for HCMC however, with the city seeing a 10% year-on-year drop in international arrivals in the first two months of 2009.
