This month sees the launch of a new wellness meetings concept at Hilton London Bankside.
The hotel is shaking things up with healthier menu options, outdoor exercise classes and a meeting schedule aimed at reducing stress and increasing general wellbeing.
On average, full-time workers spend more than one-third of their day, five days per week in the workplace. Studies have shown that a healthy working environment increases work productivity, reduces work absenteeism, lowers health care costs and increases the likelihood of employees taking up new challenges. With this in mind Hilton London Bankside have created a wellness package designed for meetings which prioritises mental and physical wellbeing.
Chef Paul Bates has created a brain boosting lunch and healthy snack menu. To kick the day off, snacks on arrival include granola bars, lemon and kiwi spritzers and to keep attention levels high, the mid-morning break consists of raw vegetables with mint yogurt and apple, banana and soy shakes. Cucumber water, packed with vitamins and minerals to keep blood pressure down, is available throughout the day.
The brain boosting lunch menu, which can be personalised depending on the groups’ taste, includes options such as steamed white fish with olive oil and lemon dressing or mackerel ceviche with green beans, almonds and chilli. Desserts include a dark chocolate torte, known for its anti-oxidant properties, and soy milk raspberry mouse.
When booking the wellness package employees will have full use of the gym and swimming pool. For companies looking for group activities, to improve camaraderie within the team, the wellness package offers personalised training sessions with StreetGym, which focuses on empowering people through outdoor fitness.
MICE facilities at Hilton London Bankside include 11 flexible meeting spaces, a ballroom that caters to 700 guests, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and a dedicated events team.
