Hilton signs contract for new Dubai property

Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Mohammed Abdullah Juma Humaidan Al Falasi and Delta Emirates Contracting for the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha Hotel and Residence. The 344-room property, scheduled to open in Q4 2011, will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton property in Dubai and the second in the UAE, following the recently opened DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah. “Signing our second hotel in the UAE is a significant milestone for the DoubleTree by Hilton brand and underscores our continued commitment to expanding in the Middle East,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.The DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha Hotel and Residence will feature 180 hotel rooms and 164 serviced apartments with four meeting rooms, a business centre, health club and outdoor swimming pool. Hilton Worldwide currently operates 49 hotels and one convention centre in the Middle East & Africa, totalling to more than 15,000 rooms across 15 countries.
