Hong Kong Tourism Board said February visitor arrivals were almost 3% higher than the same month last year.
The first two months saw 4.8 million arrivals, over 9% ahead of last year.
Sustaining their robust performance, all three longhaul market regions achieved double-digit gain in February 2008. As for the shorthaul regions, both North Asia and South & Southeast Asia registered growth of about 20%. As for the individual source markets, continued strong growth was recorded in various high-potential markets, such as South Korea (+50%) and the Philippines (+13%), Russia (+47%) and India (+11%).
