This strategic initiative will make the most of both organisation’s local and overseas business networks and trade connections to strengthen the campaign of the Festival to visitors worldwide.
The partnership have also created the ‘Visa Preferred Merchants Tourist Offer’ as a 3 month incentive, giving visitors special gifts and discounts when they use their Visa cards at selected merchants.
This means that in addition to receiving a special bonus upon purchases made with Visa cards in Hong Kong, they will also get excellent shopping, dining, sightseeing and well-being offers at selected outlets.
Mr Lambert Chan, General Manager, Destination marketing of the HKTB said that by enlisting more sectors to participate in this year’s event, it will enhance it’s celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR).
The 2007 Hong Kong Shopping Festival will run from 30 June to 31 August. It is being organised for the 6th year by the HKTB and it has now become an annual event in city’s calendar.
To further enhance the Festival, there will be a multimedia show ‘A Symphony of Lights’ with special pyrotechnics every Saturday from 14 July to end August.
In addition, there will be an array of festivities around the city.
