Of the 200 foreign visitors to the Vietnam’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed town, Hoi An, 11.5% had come for the second time, and 3% had been there three times or more, according to a recent survey. Thanh Nien News reported that the Hoi An Relic Area Management and Preservation Centre has conducted the survey in cooperation with a voluntary group from Germany. The findings showed that 76% of the foreigners from Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand were ‘very pleased’ with the old town; while reasons for dissatisfaction included traffic, costs and the environment.
