Holland America Line’s ms Maasdam recently completed a multi-million-dollar dry dock refurbishment in the Bahamas. The 1,258-guest Maasdam’s new facilities and features include new stateroom furnishings and bathroom upgrades, the Canaletto Italian eatery, and a new lounge called Mix. Twenty-nine new Lanai staterooms also were added to ship during the refit, and 16 staterooms across Verandah Suite, Outside and Inside categories were converted into Spa Staterooms. The refurbishment was part of the company’s US$566 million ‘Signature of Excellence’ fleet-wide revamp.
Also completing dry-dock refurbishments in April were ms Eurodam, ms Volendam and ms Veendam.
“Maasdam is our fifth ship to receive these exciting enhancements,” said Richard Meadows, CTC, Executive Vice President of Marketing, Sales & Guest Programs. “The ongoing Signature of Excellence program has touched all 15 Holland America ships in various ways and ensures that our fleet continues to evolve in premium amenities, programming, technologies and activities that our guests expect from Holland America Line.”
