CLIA UK & Ireland has confirmed that the co-founder of Mr & Mrs Smith, James Lohan, will deliver the keynote speech at this year’s Luxury Expo in Dover.
Lohan developed Mr & Mrs Smith from a collection of luxury boutique hotels into a company with a 24-hour reservations team, international offices and a membership programme with almost half a million members.
CLIA UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer said: “I’m delighted that James will be sharing his experiences with more than 150 delegates at this year’s Luxury Expo. There are many similarities within the boutique hotel sector and luxury cruising which last year saw a 10% increase in sales, with summer ultra-luxury cruises increasing by a striking 30%. And in keeping with the innovative nature of cruising, it’s great that we are able to include Seven Seas Voyager in a ‘virtually live’ manner.”
The event will see an industry first whereby attendees are able to ‘virtually’ tour Regent’s Voyager, which will be docked in Southampton.
The expo will also give delegates the opportunity to tour the Crystal Serenity and Symphony as well as the Seabourn Sojourn.
Tickets are available from GBP20 for members and GBP50 for non-members. The Luxury Expo will run from 2-3 September.
