Hotelzon, Europe’s leading technology provider for the hotel sector has launched an iPhone application with immediate effect.
The app will allow travellers to book and pay for rooms across a network of 90,000 hotels in approximately 20,000 cities across 180 countries. The app is free of charge to download and can also be used in conjunction with a company’s existing business travel policies.
Key features of the app include;
GPS search - for near future search based on current location
Quick search - for an easy country or city based search
Advanced search - for a more detailed search
A ‘My reservations’ section is also included allowing users to browse and cancel existing reservations. When a booking is made an instant confirmation is then sent via SMS directly to the user’s handset, the GPS will then direct the traveller to their hotel. The app is also available in 17 languages, including English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
Originally the first mobile solution on the market, Hotelzon’s Mobile 2.0 finds the nearest and best available accommodation using GPS technology.
The revolutionary solution has solved the problem for time-poor business travellers as they no longer need to make expensive and time-consuming phone calls from abroad for last-minute bookings and alterations. This convenient business tool supports organisations’ travel policies and gives the traveller an independent means of confidently making a hotel reservation regardless of the time zone or geographical location, thus generating a real cost saving for businesses.
With a corporate client base exceeding 15,000 corporate organisations, Hotelzon already has over 100,000 mobile users.
Hotelzon CEO Jani Kaskinen said, “We are really excited to extend our mobile hotel booking system to iPhone users, as it now means that individual leisure travellers can reap the benefits of our leading corporate booking tool, including live access to over 90,000 hotels worldwide at best available rates. With the current economic climate, the importance of smart travel policies, cost control, security and reporting tools cannot be more vital. Mobile applications will transform the way in which travel is booked.”
