Hospitality industry leaders from North India have called for reduced taxation to give boost to the industry.
The second convention of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI) held at Pullman Gurgaon Central Park from 27-28 October highlighted the role being played by the hotels and restaurants in creating jobs and helping other industries to grow.
Parvez Dewan, Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) said, “The hotels in the North would gain with the launch of the 777 Days of Incredible Himalayas Campaign. To go to Himalayan states, the tourist has to pass through Delhi and other places in North India. The Collective Landing Scheme should also help most tourists coming from many countries and along with the Visa-on-Arrival scheme offering ease to tourists.”
Marketing strategies for future success, sustainable brands of tomorrow and culinary innovations were other topics discussed at the HRANI convention.
