Hurtigruten has increased capacity for its Northern Lights programme this winter due to high demand. Additional capacity includes a series of charter flights from London Gatwick to Tromso, less than two months after the main 2010/11 product launched. “Groups are a key focus area for us on our Northern Lights programme and the demand we are already experiencing from agents in this area is unprecedented,” said Hurtigruten Sales and Marketing Director Kathryn Beadle. “We hope these charters will provide agents with the additional availability they need to drive group sales even further. The flights will serve Northern Norway itineraries ensuring customers are above the Arctic Circle for the entire trip to maximise the chance of seeing the Northern Lights.” Details of the itineraries and dates available will be incorporated into a flyer which will be distributed to all agents. For the first time, the operator is also offering an Early Booking Offer for the first 50 passengers booked onto any of the three dates for the Arctic Highlights four day itinerary. In addition, there are no single supplements.
