IATO and Bermuda boost two-way traffic

The Indian travel industry is reigniting an age-old relationship with Bermuda, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to stimulate two-way traffic between India and the wealthy island state. The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) met with Ewart F. Brown, the Prime Minister of Bermuda, and his delegation during their visit to India. At the bilateral meeting, IATO President Vijay Thakur discussed old ties with Bermuda which India holds and the cultural similarities which make the destination known to millions of Indian people. He also referred to the strategies which can be formed for developing two way traffic including exchange of visits by Tour Operators and holding Road Shows which would be a positive move forward.
Taking to the podium, Brown, talked at length about the beauties of Bermuda and extended an official welcome to all IATO members. This was followed by signing of a MoU between the state of Bermuda and IATO. The agreement, in which both parties have promised to promote tourism between the cultural partners, will create opportunities for the travel industry in India and Bermuda.
