This strategic move marks IHCL's entry into an underexplored market, catering to travellers seeking unique leisure experiences. The resort, developed in partnership with Mystica Retreats LLP, is set to enhance IHCL's presence along the Western Ghats.
The 40-key Tree of Life Sakaleshpur will offer guests a tranquil retreat amidst the lush landscapes of the Western Ghats. The resort will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and wellness amenities such as a swimming pool, treatment room, and yoga space. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, highlighted the growing demand for experiential stays in the region, stating, "This signing marks IHCL’s early entry into an underpenetrated micro-market, enabling us to cater to discerning travellers seeking immersive leisure experiences."
Sakaleshpur, a serene hill station, is known for its trekking, heritage, and plantation tourism, with attractions like Manjarabad Fort and Bisle Ghat Viewpoint. The addition of this resort brings IHCL's total number of hotels in Karnataka to 34, with 19 more under development.
