India’s Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) increased 7.9% in July 2013.
The country received 0.524 million (5.24 lakh) tourists last month as compared to 4.86 lakh in July 2012. Between January to July 2013, India received 38.32 lakh tourists with a growth of 3.35, as compared to FTAs of 37.10 lakh during January to July 2012.
The Foreign Exchange Earnings (FEEs) during the month of July 2013 were 8,920 crore as compared to 8,389 crore in July 2012. The growth rate in FEEs in rupee terms in July 2013 over July 2012 was 6.3% as compared to 17.9% in July 2012 over July 2011.
