Indian agents scrap add-on transaction fees

Air passengers booking their tickets from travel agents will no longer need to pay any additional transaction fee, The Times of India has reported. Manoj Sogani, Chairman of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Rajasthan chapter, said on Tuesday that they will include the transaction fee in their published air fare, effective immediately.
The fees are thought to be in the region of between INR1,000 and INR10,000 (US$21-206) for international tickets, and INR350 for domestic tickets.
