Iranian plane catches fire on landing

A passenger plane caught fire while landing at Mashhad, northeastern Iran, on Saturday, the BBC reported Iranian state media as saying. While no-one on board died in the incident, 46 of the 170 passengers are reported to have suffered injuries. The Tupolev 154 jet operated by Taban Air suffered serious damage as it landed, reportedly losing its undercarriage and a wing. The cause of the incident was not immediately clear.
