Malaysia’s Terengganu state has clarified that its Islamic Civilisation theme park is open to all, including non-Muslims.
The park, which was opened by the Prime Minister yesterday, features replicas of 12 mosques, the Al-Hambra of Spain and Taj Mahal of India, The Star reported. A state official was quoted saying: “This is a theme park concept and anyone can tour it as it is an attraction featured in the Visit Terengganu Year this year.”
He was responding to queries by some Malaysian tour operators whether they could organise tours for non-Muslims to the park, the report said.
