ITC Classics has reported an increase in bookings within the family market this summer. The luxury tour operator has specifically seen a rise in sales to Mauritius, following new hotels and flights from British Airways and Emirates. “This increase in family travel is a huge accomplishment, especially as it has come in the face of adversity and there are many recent factors that our business has come up against, from the continued rise in APD (Air Passenger Duty) to unforeseen natural hindrances, such as the recent ash clouds,” said Jennifer Atkinson, CEO of ITC Classics. She added that the company had seen a 45% increase in sales this May compared to May 2010.
