ITE, Asia’s leading international travel expo and the concurrent ITE MICE continue expanding and will use a total of five halls this year.
Taking part this year are around 650 international exhibitors from over 50 countries. New country pavilions in ITE this year come from Abu Dhabi, Maldives, Nepal, Turkey, Vietnam and Yemen.
Reflecting its status as the world’s fourth most popular international destination, the China pavilion is again the largest. With expansion this year close to 40%, Japan becomes the second largest official pavilion, followed closely in scale by Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
For the second time ITE MICE is being held concurrently with ITE. Exhibitors at ITE MICE include international and Chinese-based hotel chains, resort and boutique hotels and golf clubs as well as airlines and convention centres.
ITE will also offer a comprehensive presentation of Hong Kong theme parks and attractions including Disneyland, Ngong Ping 360, Wetland Park and the Ocean Park.
Last year, ITE MICE & ITE welcomed 10,000 buyers and trade visitors, and 55,000 public consumers. While the emphasis has been shifted to quality, there is a good chance this year’s event will surpass last year’s record.
The international tourism industry is increasingly recognising and using ITE & ITE MICE as an effective platform to cover the Asian markets.
