Jac Travel has offered to sell take up hotel room contracts in London during the Olympics if British Hospitality Association (BHA) members withdraw their agreement with LOCOG. Several weeks ago the BHA had issued a complaint to the Olympic organisation committee over Thomas Cook’s package prices during the games, which had been significantly increased. However the BHA and LOCOG have yet to come to a decision and it has been rumoured that some hotel chains have pulled their allocation. As a result, wholesale tour operator Jac Travel has said it is waiting to take on any potential contracts. “We applaud the BHA for putting pressing questions to LOCOG and we would like its members to know that if they decide to withdraw rooms from LOCOG, JacTravel stands ready to contract with them on usual terms and to sell their rooms at reasonable rates to genuine visitors from overseas,” said Mario Bodini, CEO of Jac Travel.
