The total number of passengers on JAL group airlines rose 1.6% on the same period last year, however the number of passengers on international routes was down 1% to 360,088.
The strongest increases were seen in flights serving China, Gaum and South Korea, up 11.3%, 11% and 17.7% respectively with the total seat load factor for international routes up 0.4% to 67.5%. An additional 24 flights were operated on domestic Japan routes during this period to cater for flight demand to Okinawa (Naha) and Sapporo.
