JAL requests surcharge cut

Japan Airlines (JAL) has asked the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), to decrease fuel surcharges.
JAL wants to lower surcharges from 1 January until 31 March, with reductions ranging from JPY1,500 on the Japan-Korea sector, JPY12,000 on Japan-Brazil flights.
