Japan domestic air traffic sees record decline

The number of people who took domestic flights in Japan last year fell 9.6% to 83.95 million - the third consecutive year of declines. According to a Japan Times report, citing the country’s Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ministry, the result marked the largest annual drop since 1987, when domestic passenger counts first began.
