A snowstorm in Japan led to the cancellation of more than 150 domestic flights on Saturday, ChannelNews Asia reported local authorities as saying.
About 40cm of snow blanketed the runways at New Chitose Airport, Hokkaido island’s largest air hub, leading to the cancellation of at least 154 flights, airport authorities said.
The storm also damaged at least 137 buildings and caused widespread power cuts, the report added.
