Jazeera Airways has confirmed it will increase the frequency of its Kuwait-Cairo route from 10 flights per week to 21 flights per week starting 16 June. With the expansion of the route, Jazeera Airways now operates to six Egyptian destinations from Kuwait on a permanent basis. They are Alexandria, Cairo, Luxor, Sharm El Sheikh, Assiut, and Sohag. The airline also operates Hurghada and Marsa Alaam on a seasonal basis. Jazeera Airways chairman Marwan Boodai said: “Operating to Cairo has been a goal for everyone working in Jazeera Airways since our beginnings in 2005 when we had hoped that Cairo would be one of our first destinations. It took five years for this flight to happen, but the wait was worth it. Egypt today is new and full of optimism; the spirit of change is sweeping the country. We are very proud to have witnessed this change and for being the first new operator to Cairo.”Today our commitment to Egypt and the travellers of both countries has never been stronger. We have increased our investments in our Egyptian routes, we have intensified our marketing operations in Kuwait to attract people to fly to Cairo and other Egyptian destinations, and we are gearing up to add more flights for the summer schedule, especially to Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh.”
