Kuwaiti private carrier, Jazeera Airways, will stop serving several of its international destinations directly out of Dubai due to “regulatory restrictions”, Gulf News has reported. From June, Jazeera will no longer operate direct flights from Dubai to New Delhi, Mumbai, Sana’a (Yemen) and Salalah (Oman). These services will continue to be operated via Kuwait. The regulatory changes also mean that services to Kochi and Khartoum will not be available from June, the airline was reported saying.
“We would prefer to continue to offer non-stop services to many destinations from Dubai but unfortunately regulatory changes in the UAE have meant that it is no longer economical for us to do so,” an airline spokesperson told Gulf News. It was not reported what these regulatory changes were.
