Indian scheduled flights carried a total of 3,085,000 passengers in the month of July, down from 3,534,000 in June. Jet Airways continued to lead the way, carrying 717,000 passengers last month, compared to Air India’s 556,000 and Kingfisher’s 469,000. The results gave Jet Airways a 23.5% share of the Indian domestic market - up from 21.2% in June. This increase however has not come at the expanse of its major rivals, with Air India also increasing its market share from 16.4% to 18.3%, and Kingfisher growing from 14.3% to 15.4%. Source: CAPA.
