Jet Airways has launched a new all-economy service, ‘Jet Airways Konnect’, on select routes in India.
The Indian carrier said customers will see the same on-ground and in-flight service as delivered by Jet Airways, with the only real difference being that travellers will have to buy their meals on board. Jet Airways Konnect will have dedicated aircraft with a unique flight number range to help guests and travel agents identify the class of service.
Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer of Jet Airways commented; “Consumer demands are changing rapidly in a dynamic global environment, we believe the Jet Airways Konnect service will give us the flexibility and speed to deploy capacity to meet these changing trends.”
The Jet Airways Konnect service will initially operate with two Boeing 737s and six ATR aircraft. Routes will include Chennai-Coimbatore, Chennai-Madurai, Chennai-Kochi, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Bhopal, Mumbai-Udaipur, Bengaluru-Pune, Bengaluru-Mangalore.
