Following TDA’s report on Friday that ‘jet man’ Yves Rossy’s attempts to fly across the English Channel strapped to a set of jet-powered wings had been delayed by the weather, we are delighted to report that Rossy has now completed his challenge.
The BBC reported on Saturday that once the skies cleared, Rossy leapt from an aeroplane 2,500m above Calais, France, and fired up his four kerosene-burning turbines, before completing the 35.4km crossing.
After parachuting to earth near Dover, UK, Rossy said that it felt “really, really great.”
