Jet2.com increases dedicated Hajj services

Jet2.com has increased its dedicated number of seats for Hajj pilgrims. Due to high customer demand, the airline has launched its specialist departures from Leeds Bradford, Manchester and East Midlands by 300%. “Our specialist Hajj flights were extremely popular last year and it is fantastic that we are able to offer an increased service from even more of our airport bases for 2010,” said Jet2.com boss Philip Meeson. A total of 10 return trips will operate from 1 November in time for Hajj, which takes place between 14 and 17 November this year. All catering with adhere to Muslim tradition, including Halal meat and no alcohol. In addition, Jet2.com will increase its baggage allowance of 22kg so passengers can bring back Zam Zam holy water. Jet2.com’s flights are expected to carry 2,000 pilgrims to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia through the carrier’s travel agent partners Sky-Fly Connections and PAK Travels.
